When I heard through the grapevine that a super-hero themed vegan ice cream parlour existed,
my response was "holy $@*!**#!@#!", followed by "where is this magical place?!". Turns out it
was in the extremely vegan-friendly city of Chiang Mai, somewhere I now knew
we had to visit.
Ice Love You is located the south end of the Nimman Area, not too far from Chiang Mai
University. And yes, it is as good as it sounds.
Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor adorn the walls of Ice Love You...I felt at
home instantly.
There is a pretty vast range of flavours, including Cappucino Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Cookie,
Durian, Green Tea Chocolate, Rum Raisin, Cookie Dough, Mango Sticky Rice, Dark Chocolate,
Black Sesame, Mint Chocolate Chip, and more.
Our first visit, we opted for the chocolate, coffe, and black sticky rice. All tasted great, very creamy, and flavourful.
Our second visit, we got the vegan roti with Mint Chocolate Chip and Grean Tea ice cream. It
was probably the best thing I had tried in a couple weeks (sorry, pad thai!). Highly
recommended!
Warning to vegans: for some reason, everything at Ice Love You is vegan except for the "CMU
Cheese" flavour, so steer clear of that one.
